Like the other About.com sites, this one includes both original articles and well-organized links to other resources on the web.  She covers subjects including: abortion, activism, business, discrimination, feminism, global issues, grrls, laws and legislation, lesbian issues, media and culture, military women, ethnic issues, notable women, parenting and family issues, politics, pregnancy and health issues, Social Security, violence and women and welfare.  You'll find current news as well as background information here.

    National Organization for Women

    • their web site not only includes organizational news for one of the most important women's organizations since the 1960s, but it also covers current news and issues.

    The Feminist Majority Foundation

    • While this organization focuses on electing women to public office, their web site covers many current public issues too.

    Women's Third World Issues

    • About.com Guide Cecil Marie Cancel covers issues facing women in the Third World, including ways that feminists can get involved in protecting the rights of women in the developing nations. She covers issues of female genital mutilation, women's health in the developing world, honor killings, marriage customs including child marriages, indigenous women's issues, refugees, and religious issues.  Like Karen Gould's site, this one covers breaking news as well as including lots of background information and great links.

It's hard to make your way through page after page of links alphabetized by web page title, but there's some basic organization of the links, and if you can't find what you're looking for in better-organized directories like the About.com sites, then you might try searching through this wealth of women-oriented links.
